Micaela McCabe has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. From 2013 to the present, they have been working at Leapfrog Brands, where they began as an Associate Industrial Designer and progressively moved up to become the Director of Design. In this role, Micaela is responsible for overseeing product development and design for three consumer brands. Micaela'stasks include market research, trend analysis, ideation, sketching, modeling, prototyping, sourcing, and product testing. Micaela is also involved in creating lifestyle renderings, media assets, graphics, and packaging for sales meetings and various retail platforms.
Before joining Leapfrog Brands, Micaela worked at Pantanal Partnership as a Water Systems Designer. During their time there from 2011 to 2013, they designed and constructed biosand water filters for rural schools in Brazil and implemented clean water-centered educational programs.
Prior to that, Micaela served as a Sculpture Studio Assistant and Router Technician at the University of Michigan from 2010 to 2013. Micaela'sresponsibilities involved assisting students with 3D file creation, CNC router operations, and studio maintenance.
Additionally, they had brief stints at Covaron Advanced Materials as an Associate Industrial Designer in 2012, Global Intercultural Experience for Undergraduates at the University of Michigan as a Travel Guide Team Leader in 2011, and EduCARE India as a Women's Empowerment Program Leader in 2010.
