David Hoerl has a strong background in iOS engineering. David started their career as an iOS Team Lead at Lot18, where they created iPhone and iPad apps to support the company's business. David then worked as a Lead Mobile Engineer at Sailthru.com, where they designed and developed an iOS SDK for client integration. After that, they joined Simple Booth as a Senior iOS Engineer, where they introduced Git/Github, Swift, and Auto-layout and updated the iOS source code to use modern best practices. David also worked as a Senior iOS Engineer at Moment, where they developed a new People Tracking feature for the Moment iOS app. Later on, they worked at Group K Diagnostics as a Senior iOS Developer, developing their first app using camera image capture and proprietary algorithms. David then joined SALIDO as a Senior iOS Engineer, specializing in interfacing with Epson POS printers and Magtek credit card readers. Before their current role at Leap as a Senior iOS Engineer, they worked at Hypergiant as a Senior iOS Developer, working on an iPad app for the "EOS Bioreactor" device and integrating video features, Core Image Filters, and particle emitters. David Hoerl attended the University of Delaware from 1976 to 1979, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering. Prior to that, from 1968 to 1972, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology from the same university.
