Shirley Xie

Shirley Xie has work experience as a Product Designer at Learn Amp since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a User Experience Designer and Web Graphic Designer at King's College London from 2017 to 2022. In these roles, they produced high-quality UX design solutions, conducted usability tests and user research, and developed visual representations using various tools. Before that, at the University of Leicester from 2009 to 2019, they worked as a Senior Graphic Designer, handling projects such as magazines, brochures, and flyers. In 2008, they were a Graphic Designer at Oxford Brookes University, providing creative designs for communications materials and managing a photographic library.

Shirley Xie completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Marketing from Jinan University, from 2002 to 2006. Shirley then pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in International design and communication management at the University of Warwick from 2006 to 2007.

In addition to their formal education, Shirley Xie has obtained several certifications. Shirley completed the "Design a User Experience for Social Good & Prepare for Jobs" certification from Coursera in December 2021. Also in December 2021, they completed the Google UX Design Specialization certification from Coursera. In November 2021, they obtained the "Conduct UX Research and Test Early Concepts" certification, as well as the "Create High-Fidelity Designs and Prototypes in Figma" certification. In November 2021, they also completed the "Responsive Web Design in Adobe XD" certification. In September 2021, Shirley Xie obtained the "Build Wireframes and Low-Fidelity Prototypes" certification, as well as the "Start the UX Design Process: Empathize, Define, and Ideate" certification. In August 2021, they completed the "Foundations of User Experience (UX) Design" certification from Coursera. Moreover, they obtained the "Scrum: The Basics" certification from LinkedIn in August 2021. Finally, in January 2020, they completed the "Sketch for UX Design" certification from LinkedIn.
