Lisa Pertoso

Lisa Pertoso has a diverse work experience in the field of learning and development. Lisa has worked as a Learning Facilitator at Abracademy since 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Follow the Fear as a Facilitator, Learning Designer, and Organizational Coach. Lisa also held the position of Senior Learning Designer & Facilitator at Learnexus and Influence Through Storytelling Instructor at Pragmatic Institute. Lisa has also worked as a Senior Facilitator & Learning Designer - Leadership Development at Experience Institute and as a Satire Writer at Canada's National Observer. In addition, Lisa has experience as a Facilitator & Cohort Coach at Teal, Career Coach at Flatiron School, and Digital Leadership Facilitator at Decoded. Lisa has also held various roles at Hyper Island, including Learning Designer + Facilitator, Director of Executive Education Programs, and Manager of Executive Education Programs.

Lisa Pertoso holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science + Sociology from Union College. Lisa also has a Master of Arts (MA) degree in International Relations and Affairs from Seton Hall University. In addition to their academic achievements, Lisa has obtained several certifications including "Influence Through Storytelling" from Pragmatic Institute in May 2022, "Unconscious Bias" from LinkedIn in April 2021, and "Difficult Conversations: Talking about Race at Work" from LinkedIn in March 2021. Lisa also holds a certification as a Women-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) from the NYC Department of Small Business Services since January 2020. Furthermore, Lisa has obtained additional certifications related to design leadership, learning spaces, humor, satire writing, improv theater, sketch writing, and instructional design for adult learners. Lisa engaged in a Master Class on Digital Acceleration with Hyper Island.
