Sheila Murphy

Sheila Murphy is an Educational Coach at Learnfully. Prior to their current position, they served as the Executive Director of Human Resources for the Milpitas Unified School District from January 2017 to August 2018. In this role, Sheila was responsible for hiring, training, and managing employees, as well as developing personnel processes, human resources policies, and board policies. Sheila also organized and monitored evaluations system-wide for more than 1,000 employees, and coordinated and hosted the Employee Recognition Celebration and Employee Appreciation Day. In addition, Sheila successfully prepared for and passed a Federal Progress Monitoring Audit in multiple areas, and increased diversity-focused recruiting and hiring practices. Finally, Sheila assisted in negotiations and employer-employee relations with multiple bargaining units, conducted investigations and completed reports relating to employee grievances, and collaborated with attorneys and the local police department on employee-related issues.

Sheila Murphy has a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Sheila also has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Educational Leadership and Administration from Jones International University. In addition, they have two Master's Degrees: one in Educational Administration and Supervision from San Jose State University, and one in Elementary Education and Teaching from San Jose State University.
