Dr Peter Lavender

Dr. Peter Lavender has extensive experience in the field of education, currently serving as a Research Supervisor for the EdD Programme at The Open University since September 1999, where roles include leading areas in lifelong learning and inclusive education. In addition to their part-time role at The Open University, Peter Lavender is an Education Consultant, with recent projects such as chairing the interim management team of the National Society of Apprentices. Other notable positions include Senior Research Fellow at the National Institute of Adult Continuing Education, Professor of Education at the University of Wolverhampton, and Deputy Chief Assessor for the Association of Colleges' Beacon Awards. Peter's previous experience also includes significant roles in governance and inspection related to further education, as well as impactful research contributions focused on inclusive learning. Dr Peter holds a PhD in Education from the University of East Anglia and a BEd from the University of Bristol.
