Jennifer DePaoli is a seasoned education researcher with extensive experience in social and emotional learning (SEL), education policy, and teaching. Currently serving as a Senior Researcher at the Learning Policy Institute since September 2018 and as an Associate Editor for the journal Social and Emotional Learning: Research, Practice, and Policy since April 2021, DePaoli has contributed significantly to SEL research and policy. Previous roles include membership on the DC SBOE Social Studies Standards Advisory Committee and serving as Senior Research & Policy Advisor at Civic Enterprises, where DePaoli led multiple reports focused on high school graduation and alternative education. With earlier positions as an education policy researcher at Policy Matters Ohio, an adjunct faculty member at The University of Akron, and teaching roles in K-12 settings, DePaoli holds a Ph.D. in Education Policy from The Ohio State University, alongside a Master's in Middle Childhood Education and a Bachelor's in Communications from the University of Dayton.
