Michael Griffith serves as a Senior Researcher and Policy Analyst at the Learning Policy Institute, focusing on school funding issues as part of the Equitable Resources and Access team since April 2020. Prior to this role, Griffith worked as a School Finance Consultant from December 2012 to April 2020, engaging with various clients on school funding research and advising state governments. From April 2000 to December 2012, Griffith was a Senior Policy Analyst at the Education Commission of the States, managing education finance projects and producing comprehensive reports and policy briefs. Earlier experience includes a role as a Policy Analyst at Augenblick & Myers, where research concentrated on school funding adequacy and reform in multiple states. Educational credentials include a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Government from Michigan State University, a Master of Public Administration in Government Finance from The Ohio State University, and a Master’s in Education Management from Trinity College Dublin.
