Jean Hammond is a General Partner at the LearnLaunch Fund + Accelerator, a venture capital firm that invests in and supports early-stage edtech companies. Jean is also a member of the Corporation (the board of trustees) of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). In this role, they provide oversight of the Institute to ensure that it adheres to its purposes and preserves its financial resources.
Previously, Jean was a managing director at JPH Associates, a venture capital firm focused on investments in information technology and healthcare. Jean also served on the boards of several startups, including InStream Media, Inc., a video advertising platform.
Jean has been involved in the edtech community for many years. Jean was a founding member of the Massachusetts Innovation Index Advisory Committee, which tracks the state of innovation in Massachusetts. Jean is also a member of Hub Angels, an angel investor group, and Launchpad Venture Group, a venture capital firm.
Jean Hammond graduated from Boston University with a BS in Biology. Jean then went on to earn an MS in Management from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
