Kevin Rex

Kevin Rex has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Kevin began their career in 2008 as a Lead Dispatcher at Oklahoma State University's Flight Center, where they managed flight operations and scheduling. In 2009, they interned at Southwest Airlines in the Flight Operations department, where they contributed to various tasks such as creating reports and uploading flight data.

Kevin then joined Higher Power Aviation in 2010 as a Dispatcher Instructor, designing lesson plans and conducting classroom instruction. Kevin also worked at Southwest Airlines as a Source of Support Representative, providing mentorship and troubleshooting software issues.

In 2012, Kevin joined EquityMetrix, LLC as the Director of Business Control, overseeing project management and business controls teams. Kevin also developed cost estimators using Python and managed the weekly Executive Operation Report.

Returning to Southwest Airlines in 2016, Kevin held various roles including Department Planner, Business Consultant, Manager of Planning & Projects, and eventually Senior Manager of Planning & Projects. Kevin implemented performance standards, procedural changes, and encouraged employee productivity. Kevin also worked with senior leadership to create efficient processes and partnered with safety risk partners to educate on safety implications.

Most recently, Kevin joined Lease Analytics LLC in 2023 as the Director of Client Delivery, where they are currently responsible for overseeing client delivery operations.

Throughout their career, Kevin has demonstrated strong leadership and project management skills, as well as a focus on improving operational efficiency and safety.

Kevin Rex began their education at J.J. Pearce High School from 2000 to 2004, where they obtained their High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates. Following their high school education, they attended Oklahoma State University from 2004 to 2009. Kevin earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Aerospace Administration and Operations, with a minor in Aviation Management. In 2009, they obtained an FAA Dispatcher Certificate from Higher Power Aviation, focusing on Aviation. Additionally, Kevin holds several certifications, including Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from Southwest Airlines, Up and Running with Bash Scripting from lynda.com, and a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from Scrum Alliance D-A-CH e.V. Kevin also has aspirations to obtain both an FAA Aircraft Dispatcher License and an FAA Commercial Pilot's License, though the specific details and timeline for achieving these certifications are not provided.
