Gary Smith

Gary is one of the region’s top construction leaders, with a longtime focus on mentoring, safety, education and alternative contracting. He has a diverse background in commercial, industrial and marine construction. Gary began his career in construction in 1975 and went to Lewis in 1996, serving as senior project manager, then principal, then president. As executive vice president, Gary focuses on mentoring the staff and serving selected clients as account executive. He is past president of the AGC of Washington and is on the boards of the Northwest Construction Consumer Council and the Seattle Aquarium. Outside of work, Gary is a rescue diver and enjoys boating in the Puget Sound.
