May Farhat is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in architectural history and design. Currently serving as a Visiting Associate Professor at Lebanese American University since August 2022, Farhat previously held the position of Associate Professor at Holy Spirit University of Kaslik from 2016 to 2022. Prior experience includes an Assistant Professor role at American University of Beirut from 2004 to 2014 and an Interim Director position at Harvard University’s Arabic Language Program during 2003-2004. May Farhat holds a PhD in Islamic Architectural History from Harvard University, a Master of Arts in Islamic Art and Architecture from the University of Victoria, and a Bachelor's degree in Arab-Islamic History from American University of Beirut.
