Lorna Swanson-Seitz is a seasoned academic and policy expert currently serving as a Visiting Associate Professor at Northeastern University, focusing on Public Policy and Urban Affairs and Political Science. As President of Legis since 2018, Lorna oversees program development, partnerships, and technological tools aimed at enhancing participatory governance. With extensive experience as a Senior Legislative/Parliamentary Expert for organizations including UNDP and USAID from 2004 to 2023, Lorna taught lawmakers and civil society representatives about law development and implementation. Previous roles include Professor of Practice at the University of California, Riverside, and Director of Research & Program Development at The Legis Institute, where Lorna emphasized using technology in legislative processes.
