Aditya Rao (He/His/Him)

Aditya Rao is a seasoned software engineering leader with over 7 years of experience spanning fintech, insurance technology, and large-scale distributed systems. Currently a Staff Software Engineer at Ledger Investing, he leads initiatives to build AI-driven applications that help insurers manage and reconcile contracts with underlying policy and claims data. His work includes designing Ledger’s Databricks-based data architecture, defining infrastructure in Terraform, and building intelligent web applications leveraging LangSmith, PydanticAI, and the Vercel AI SDK.

Before joining Ledger, Aditya was a Founding Engineer at Bond Financial Technologies (acquired by FIS), where he architected and built Bond’s banking-as-a-service platform from the ground up. He led backend development for the Bond Portal, designed an iso8583-based double-entry ledger, implemented ACH transfer capabilities, and grew the engineering team from 3 to 15 members.

Earlier in his career, Aditya worked at Teradata Labs, where he implemented high-performance change data capture systems, and at Infosys, UCLA Smart Grid Research Center, and Dun & Bradstreet, where he built data pipelines and early-stage prototypes across data engineering and energy domains.

Aditya holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from UCLA and a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. He has also been a part of On Deck Fellowship (ODF 18) and Buildspace Season 5, communities that support ambitious builders and founders.
