Kyle Grymonpre

Kyle Grymonpre has a varied work experience. From 2012 to 2015, they worked as a Salesperson at Racquets Pro Shop. In 2015, they took on an Actuarial Intern role at Wawanesa Insurance, where they programmed internal tools in APL programming language. In 2016, they worked as an Assistant Badminton Professional at the Winnipeg Winter Club. From 2017 to 2018, they worked as a Web Developer at ESL Library, where they built a mobile application and wrote an automated test suite. From 2019 to 2022, they worked at Wawanesa Insurance as a Data Scientist II and an Actuarial Analyst I and II. In this role, they built data processing, model training, and validation pipelines, created ML models, optimized renewal premiums, and built and applied machine learning models. In 2022, they moved to Ledger Investing as a Data Scientist.

Kyle Grymonpre attended the University of Manitoba from 2010 to 2016, graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce in Actuarial Mathematics. Kyle has also obtained certifications from the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) and Society of Actuaries (SOA), including Exam 5 (CAS, October 2019), Exam C (SOA, February 2015), Exam MLC (SOA, November 2013), Exam MFE (SOA, July 2013), Exam FM (SOA, June 2012), and Exam P (SOA, May 2012). Kyle has also completed online courses from the CAS and VEE courses from the SOA, including Applied Statistics, Corporate Finance, and Economics.
