James Bakker

James Bakker, MRED, CCIM, serves as a Senior Associate at Lee & Associates Charleston since June 2022 and is the Managing Member of Bakker Realty & Development, LLC, as well as BF Spartanburg, LLC and BF Star Mill, LLC, positions held since October 2015. Notable projects include the $29.5 million redevelopment of the Montgomery Building into mixed-use space and the transformation of Star Mill into office space. James Bakker also serves as an Engineer Officer in the South Carolina Army National Guard since September 2015. Previous roles include Vice President of Commercial Development at Cothran Properties, LLC and Vice President of Student Housing at McAlister Development Company, Inc. Education includes a Master of Real Estate Development from Clemson University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Auburn University.
