John Armitstead

John Armitstead has extensive experience in healthcare and pharmacy leadership, currently serving as the System Director of Pharmacy Services at Lee Health since October 2010, overseeing a multi-hospital system with over 350 pharmacy staff across several facilities. Armitstead has held roles such as Past President of ASHP and board member of ASHP — Pharmacists Advancing Healthcare between 2008 and 2011. Memberships include the Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists, Inc. since 2011, and 340B Health since 1999. Previous positions encompass Director of Pharmacy Services and Assistant Dean at the University of Kentucky from 1999 to 2010, as well as Associate Director of Pharmacy at the University of Cincinnati from 1989 to 1999. Armitstead holds a Master’s degree in Hospital Pharmacy from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from Ohio Northern University.
