Dominic Bray

Head of Dispute Resolution at Lee & Thompson

Dominic is a partner and heads up the firm’s Dispute Resolution Group.

Prior to joining Lee & Thompson in 2016, Dominic was a partner at Forbes Anderson Free, a highly respected boutique practice specialising in litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution for clients in the media and entertainment industries. Before joining Forbes Anderson Free, Dominic headed the IP, Media & Technology group in the London office of international law firm, K&L Gates.

Dominic is an experienced and pragmatic lawyer with a focus on dispute resolution in intellectual property, media and entertainment, technology and sport. He also advises on regulatory compliance and enforcement in a range of areas including data protection, and marketing and advertising. Drawing on his dispute resolution experience, Dominic regularly advises on commercial negotiations and drafting, contract termination and renegotiation, and on risk assessment and clearance issues. He is particularly active in the marketing and advertising sector, working with agencies, advertisers, ad networks, and the Alliance of Independent Agencies (formerly the Marketing Agencies Action Group), providing the body’s Legal Advisory and Pitch Protection services.

He is Chair of the Media Group of the Society of Computers of Law, a board adviser to the Alliance of Independent Agencies, and a member of INTA (the International Trade Mark Association) and the Computer Law Group.

He is recommended by independent directories Chambers & Partners (‘Media and Entertainment: Advertising & Marketing’) and Legal 500 (‘Brand Management’) where he is noted for his ability to “get to the heart of the problem”, reflecting his focus on providing pragmatic, commercially-focused, risk-sensitive solutions.
