David Gardner has extensive experience in both public policy and local government. Currently, Gardner serves as a member of the Lee Valley Regional Park Authority since February 2020 and has been an elected Councillor for the Royal Borough of Greenwich since May 2014, where responsibilities have included Deputy Leader, Lead Member for Children and Schools, and Cabinet Member for Health and Social Care. Prior experience includes roles at KPMG as Director of Public Policy and Principal Consultant, along with significant contributions to the Labour Party in various senior roles, including Assistant General Secretary and Head of Local Government. Gardner holds a BA (Econ) Hons from The University of Manchester and an MBA from the University of the West of England.
