Mahila Amjad

Mahila Amjad's work experience begins with their current role as Principal at Leeds Illuminate, where they partner with innovators in the education sector to improve learning outcomes. Mahila joined the company in March 2021.

In 2021, they also took on the role of Board Observer at Product School, a leading global provider of Product Management training.

Prior to their current roles, Mahila worked for 2U, starting in 2016. During their time there, they held various positions, including Director of Corporate Development and Strategic Partnerships, Director of Product Marketing, Senior Product Marketing Manager, Product Marketing Manager, and Senior Financial Analyst.

Mahila'searlier experience includes roles at the United Nations Foundation, where they served as Senior Staff Accountant for Investments and Staff Accountant for Grants, and as a Finance and Grants Intern. Mahila also interned at the Make-A-Wish Foundation, where they held positions as an Annual Fund Intern and a Community Events Intern.

Mahila Amjad holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Marketing and Sustainable Enterprise from the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. Mahila also has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Economics from American University. In 2021, they started pursuing a Venture Capital Private Equity Senior Executive Program at Columbia Business School, specializing in Investments and Securities. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in MIT Sloan Corporate Innovation: Strategies for Leveraging Ecosystems and MIT Sloan Business Process Design for Strategic Management from MIT Sloan Executive Education, both in 2020.
