Dave Betts

Dave Betts currently serves as the Director of Academic Strategy and Resourcing at Leeds Trinity University, having joined the institution in October 2016. In this role, Betts is a key member of the Leadership Team and provides strategic and operational advice to the Provost & Deputy Vice Chancellor. Previous positions include Interim Dean of the Faculty of Business, Computing & Digital Industries, where Betts led a rapidly expanding faculty, and Head of Resources & Operations, focusing on staffing and budgets across academic departments. Betts has extensive experience in journalism and media, including as Managing Editor at Sky News, where Betts oversaw newsroom operations during an award-winning period, and Editor at BBC Look North, where significant KPIs were exceeded. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Senior Leadership from Leeds Trinity University and a Diploma in Radio Journalism from Darlington College of Technology.
