Martha Goedert

Martha Goedert is a seasoned healthcare professional with extensive experience in nursing and academia. Currently serving as a Visiting Professor at the University of Dodoma since January 2025, Martha specializes in teaching family nursing practice and public health at the doctoral level. In addition to academic roles, Martha holds a position as a Nurse Midwife and Family Nurse Practitioner with Legacy Health while also contributing as an Assistant Professor at the University of Missouri. Clinical practice includes ongoing work with Metro OB-GYN, LLC and rural Nebraska primary care. Martha has a longstanding commitment to international health with International Health Care Outreach, teaching vital skills in countries like Haiti and Uganda since 1980. Previous academic appointments include Assistant Professor roles at Bahir Dar University and UNMC College of Public Health. Martha's educational background includes multiple degrees in public health and nursing, with a PhD from the University of Utah and an MSN from the University of Kentucky, complemented by a BSN from the University of Vermont.
