Barbara Bertini has a diverse work experience with a focus on legal and community engagement roles. Barbara is currently working as the Associate Director of Community Partnerships at Legal Aid Chicago, where they are responsible for developing strategic partnerships and community engagement strategies. Prior to this, Barbara worked as a Trivia Host at Brain Bash Trivia and as an Assistant State's Attorney at the Cook County State's Attorney's Office, where they prosecuted felony charges and conducted trial preparation. Barbara also worked as a Criminal Records Attorney at Cabrini Green Legal Aid, handling cases related to criminal records relief and supervising volunteer attorneys. Barbara's earlier experience includes roles such as Sales Ambassador at LUSH FRESH HANDMADE COSMETICS North America and Assistant General Counsel at the Massachusetts Department of Criminal Justice Information Services, where they helped create a fingerprint-based criminal check system and assisted constituents with CORI and AFIS records. Barbara also worked as a Contract Attorney at American Tower and held various legal intern positions.

Barbara Bertini pursued their education in a progressive manner. Barbara began their educational journey from 2004 to 2007 at the University of Arkansas, where they focused on studying Political Science, Criminal Justice, and Sociology. Subsequently, from 2008 to 2009, they attended Northeastern University, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology. Their academic pursuits culminated at the Northeastern University School of Law from 2009 to 2012, where they obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
