Staff Attorney, Public Benefits Medical Legal Partnership at Legal Aid Chicago

Kaaren Fehsenfeld is a dedicated legal professional with extensive experience in public benefits and civil legal programs. Currently serving as a Staff Attorney in the Public Benefits Medical Legal Partnership at Legal Aid Chicago since June 2020, Kaaren previously held the position of Staff Attorney in Civil Programs at Cabrini Green Legal Aid from September 2018 to June 2020. Kaaren has also contributed as a Housing Justice Legal Intern at the Sargent Shriver National Center on Poverty Law and as a 711 Licensed Clinical Student at DePaul Mediation as Advocate Clinic. Additional legal experience includes roles as a Law Clerk at DeBofsky, Sherman & Casciari, P.C., as a Clinical Student at the Technology/Intellectual Property Clinic at DePaul College of Law, and as a Legal Intern at both the National Immigrant Justice Center and the Women's Rights Center of Chiapas. Kaaren holds a Juris Doctor degree with a Certificate in Public Interest Law from DePaul University College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Studies from Columbia College Chicago.
