Gurjit Rehinsi

Manager, Application Development & Data Science at Legal Aid Ontario

Gurjit Rehinsi has extensive work experience in various managerial and project management roles. In 2020, they worked at Legal Aid Ontario as the Manager of Application Development & Data Science, where they managed and coached a team responsible for various applications and projects. Prior to that, in 2019, Gurjit worked at York University as the Assistant Manager of Enterprise Analytics & Business Applications, overseeing financial applications and reporting systems. They also have experience at Deloitte Canada, where they served as a Product Owner, Project Manager, and later as a Project Manager and Consulting Manager. At Deloitte, they were responsible for managing HR systems and delivering ERP implementation and upgrade projects. Gurjit's earlier experience includes working at The Hackett Group as a Consulting Manager, Senior Consultant, and Consultant, where they delivered ERP projects and collaborated with different teams.

Gurjit Rehinsi has a diverse education background. In 1992, they obtained a Diploma in Applied Science from CEGEP - John Abbott College. They then pursued a B.Sc. Specialization in Biochemistry from Concordia University, completing it in 1998. Before that, in 1998, Gurjit also obtained a Certificate in Software Engineering from Concordia University. In 1999, Gurjit completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Information Technology from the Information Technology Institute.

In addition to their formal education, Gurjit has obtained two additional certifications. They became a Certified Scrum Master in October 2016 through the Scrum Alliance, and in July 2016, they obtained the Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute.
