Lena Lazar is a dedicated professional with a background in social work and advocacy. With experience at various organizations such as Legal Council for Health Justice, CASA of Cook County, and Center for Family Representation, Lena has held roles ranging from Social Work Intern to Advocate Supervisor. Lena has a Master's degree in Social Work from Columbia University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder.

The agency, which merged three of the nation’s leading medical-legal partnership (MLP) programs to build a Midwestern hub of medical-legal program and policy development, is renowned for its expertise across complex intersections of disability benefits, health care services, education, employment, and other publicly-funded supports at the federal, state, and local levels. In 2015 we changed our name from AIDS Legal Council of Chicago to LEGAL COUNCIL FOR HEALTH JUSTICE.
