Jonathan Malpas

Jonathan Malpas has extensive experience in the insurance and reinsurance industries, currently serving as Prudential Risk Director for Legal & General since June 2013, where responsibilities include overseeing prudential risk management and ensuring compliance with Group policies. Previously, Jonathan held the position of Managing Director at Legal & General Reinsurance Company in Bermuda, successfully establishing a new reinsurance business and managing all aspects of its development. Jonathan's earlier tenure at Munich Re spanned over two decades, during which roles included Chief Financial Officer and Appointed Actuary, focusing on financial reporting, statutory valuations, and management responsibilities. Educationally, Jonathan is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and holds a Master of Arts degree in Mathematics from The University of Edinburgh.
