Kevin L. Nichols is the Founder, President & CEO of The Social Engineering Project, Inc., an Oakland based, Google and Microsoft funded, social impact venture with Stanford University designed to address the lack of diversity in the tech industry through STEM pipeline programs for Black and Indigenous People of Color (“BIPOC”) and diversity, equity, and inclusion consulting for tech companies.
Prior to joining The Social Engineering Project, Inc., Kevin worked in multifaceted capacities at top firms such as Morrison & Foerster (Mofo), Paul Hastings, Heller Ehrman, and Holland & Knight (H&K). There, he has garnered relationships with some of the most influential and well respected legal minds in the industry, as well as junior associates who through attrition, are now counsel for some of the top Fortune 500 companies.

Legal Innovators is an Alternative Legal Service Provider (ALSP) that is changing the way the law approaches hiring, pricing, inclusion, and diversity of junior legal talent through a two-year work-based program. They pair law firms and corporate legal departments with talented Big Law ready junior lawyers. Their lawyers have excellent academic credentials and receive relevant training and mentorship during the two-year program. They take on substantive work as a member of your team. Legal Innovators manages the logistics, including technology, training, and mentorship for these junior lawyers. Firms and Corporations gain first-hand exposure to their capabilities and can then make informed decision before hiring them permanently.
