Melissa J. Ashton

Melissa J. Ashton currently serves as the Programs Director for Legal Services of North Florida since July 2022. Prior to this role, Melissa J. Ashton was the Director of Programs and Statewide Manager at the Florida Council Against Sexual Violence from January 2016 to July 2022. Additional experience includes serving as an Adjunct Professor at Florida State University College of Social Work from August 2016 to January 2017 and as Assistant Dean/Director of the Victim Advocate Program at Florida State University from May 2006 to August 2015. Earlier positions included Claims Analyst at the Florida Office of the Attorney General and Victim Advocate at the Office of the State Attorney 17th Judicial Circuit. Melissa J. Ashton holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) in Clinical/Medical Social Work from Florida State University and has degrees in Social Science and Communications from Florida State University and Brewton-Parker College.
