James Li

James Li has extensive work experience in the field of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. James started their career as a Postdoc at UCSF in 1998 and worked until 2004. After that, they joined Mergen Ltd. as a Scientist in 2004, before moving to Sangamo Biosciences Inc. as a Scientist from 2006 to 2010. James then worked at Sigma Aldrich as a Sr. Scientist from 2010 to 2011, and at Intrexon Corporation as an Associate Director from 2011 to 2012. From 2012 to 2017, they worked at Celgene as a Sr. Scientist, and from 2017 to 2019, they served as a Principal Scientist at Celularity, Inc. Currently, James Li holds the position of Sr. Director of R&D at Legend Biotech, starting from April 2019.

James Li received their B.S. in Computer Science and Biochemistry from Rutgers University in the years 1988 to 1991. James then pursued their Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Immunology from UCLA between 1992 and 1997.
