Jeff Fanton

Jeff Fanton is a seasoned professional in the field of research and development, currently serving as the Sr. Director of R & D at Onto Innovation since January 2017. Prior to this role, Jeff held several leadership positions, including Director of Engineering at ReVera Inc. and Director of Advanced Development at KLA-Tencor. Between 2000 and 2007, Jeff was the Director of Experimental Physics at Thermawave Inc., where leadership focused on optical measurement technologies for metrology. Jeff's earlier career includes roles as Sr. Project Manager and Member of Technical Staff at Thermawave Inc. and as a Microwave Tube Engineer at Teledyne MEC. Jeff holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, along with an Engineer degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford and a BS in Physics from Miami University.
