Nitin Patel

Nitin Patel has a strong background in the pharmaceutical industry, with experience at various companies. Nitin currently holds the position of Executive Medical Director at Legend Biotech since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at GSK as a Senior Medical Director in Early Clinical Development, Oncology, T Cell & Gene Therapy from 2021 to 2022. From 2018 to 2021, they served as the Medical Director at Freeline, focusing on Early Clinical Development in Rare diseases and AAV Gene Therapy. Before that, from 2015 to 2018, they worked at GSK in different roles, including Project Physician Leader in Late Clinical Development, Rare Diseases, CD34+ Stem Cell & Gene Therapy, Medical Director in Late Clinical Development, Immunology, and Interim Pharmaceutical Physician (Cross-Portfolio). In 2015, they briefly worked at Novartis as a Medical Affairs Manager in Oncology. From 2012 to 2015, they held positions at GSK as a Medical Affairs Manager and Medical Advisor, both in Oncology. Lastly, from 2008 to 2012, Nitin worked at Johnson & Johnson in various roles, including Director, Pharmacovigilance Physician, UK Team Lead, and Associate Director, Pharmacovigilance Physician, Oncology.

Nitin Patel obtained a BA in Medical Sciences from the University of Cambridge in 2000, followed by a BM BCh in Clinical Medicine from the University of Oxford from 2000 to 2003. In 2004, they obtained an MA from the University of Cambridge. Later, in 2007, they attended the Royal College of Surgeons, England. In 2010, Nitin Patel studied at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine, earning an MFPM degree in Diploma in Pharmaceutical Medicine (distinction), and a CCT Pharmaceutical Medicine degree from 2010 to 2014.
