Siwei Zhang

Siwei Zhang is a highly experienced scientist in the fields of in vivo pharmacology and early-drug development, currently serving as a Sr. Scientist at Legend Biotech since February 2020. Responsibilities include designing and guiding animal models to evaluate the efficacy and persistence of cell therapy candidates, as well as implementing new models for assessing pharmacological and toxicological profiles. Prior to this role, Siwei Zhang held positions as Scientist II in both in vivo pharmacology and cancer immunology, and before that, worked as a Post-Graduate Research Associate at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory focusing on therapeutic studies related to Wilson disease and cancers. Siwei Zhang earned a Ph.D. in Oncology and Cancer Biology from Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory and a Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics and Microbiology from Stony Brook University, complemented by a Master’s and Bachelor's degree in Genetics and Biological Science from Fudan University.
