Silvia Wixson

Silvia Wixson has an extensive work experience in the quality assurance and lean/continuous improvement field. Silvia started their career at Pittsburg State University as an Adjunct Professor of Quality in 2013. In 2006, they joined Able Manufacturing & Assembly, where they initially worked as a Continuous Improvement Engineer, focusing on developing a lean culture and driving process improvements. Silvia later took on the role of Quality Manager, leading the quality team and overseeing ISO management. Silvia then joined Leggett & Platt in 2014 as the Director of Quality Assurance, Bedding Group and held this position until 2021. Silvia was responsible for ensuring quality standards and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. In March 2021, they transitioned to the role of Director of Quality Assurance and Lean/CI at Leggett & Platt.

Silvia Wixson holds a Master's degree in Engineering Technology, General from Pittsburg State University, which they obtained from 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Plastics Engineering Technology from the same university from 1998 to 2002. Silvia also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Public Notary from the National University of Law and Social Sciences in Paraguay, which they completed from 1990 to 1993. In addition to their formal education, Silvia has obtained certifications as a Six Sigma Green Belt from the American Society for Quality in 2010 and as a Six Sigma Black Belt in September 2014.
