João Paulo Lawrence

João Paulo Lawrence is a skilled Project Analyst and Cybersecurity Innovation Analyst at the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia, with experience in developing cybersecurity protocols and deploying SIEM systems. Previously, João served as a Technical Project Manager at Distribusion Technologies, where system monitoring and incident response were key responsibilities, and delivery processes were streamlined significantly. Earlier career stages included a Junior Software Developer role at ATECH – NEGÓCIOS EM TECNOLOGIAS S/A, focusing on system analysis and the implementation of microservices using JAVA and AWS. João holds a Master of Science in Cybersecurity from the New York Institute of Technology - Vancouver, alongside a Bachelor of Engineering and an Engineer’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering/ Computer Science from FEI and the New York Institute of Technology, respectively.
