Mitzi Dean

Mitzi Dean currently serves as the Minister of Children and Family Development and the MLA for Esquimalt-Metchosin in the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia since May 2017. Prior to this, Dean was a candidate for the BC NDP in November 2016. From January 2007 to March 2017, Dean was the Executive Director of the Pacific Centre Family Services Association, leading efforts to support approximately 1,600 individuals annually facing trauma, violence, and mental health challenges. Dean also gained experience as an Executive Coach at Lucere Executive Coaching in 2015 and worked as a Development Manager for NSPCC from 2002 to 2005. Dean holds a Certificate in Executive Coaching from Royal Roads University, earned in 2014.
