Abylaikhan Mukhamejanov is an undergraduate student at Lehigh University pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Electrical Engineering. Currently serving as an Undergraduate Researcher at the Unsteady Flow Interactions Laboratory, Mukhamejanov is focused on research aimed at minimizing noise in bio-inspired robotic swimmers. Additionally, Mukhamejanov leads the mechanical design and structure sub-team for Lehigh’s first nanosatellite project under the Lehigh University Space Initiative and has successfully raised $180K for this initiative while submitting a proposal to the NASA CSLI Program. Other roles include Head Teaching Assistant for Applied Engineering Computer Methods and MakerSpace Tech Fellow, as well as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at AEROTARGETS INTERNATIONAL LLC, where analysis of UAV aerodynamic performance was conducted. Mukhamejanov also contributed to a VR/AR/XR project visualizing the nanoscale topography of perovskite solar cells in the Nano/Human Interfaces Laboratory. Prior education includes attendance at Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools focusing on Mathematics, Physics, and ICT from 2017 to 2023.
