Deirdre Murphy

Deirdre Murphy is a highly experienced educator and artist, currently serving as a Teaching Assistant Professor of Painting, Drawing, and Printmaking at Lehigh University since May 2022. Murphy's extensive background includes roles as a BioArt Resident at Integral Molecular since July 2018 and as a Fine Arts Educator at Friends' Central School from August 2018 to June 2019. Previously, Murphy spent two decades at the University of Pennsylvania, where responsibilities included Adjunct Lecturer and Administrative Assistant in the Graduate Department of Fine Art, with notable achievements in teaching and exhibition coordination. Additional experience encompasses the role of Exhibitions Coordinator at Main Line Art Center and Technical Consultant and Manager at Gamblin Artists Colors. Educational qualifications include an MFA in Painting from the University of Pennsylvania and a BFA in Painting and Printmaking from the Kansas City Art Institute.
