Uwe Freudenberg

Uwe Freudenberg is an experienced professional in the fields of chemical engineering and material science, with a significant focus on synthetic and biohybrid matrices for in vivo tissue engineering applications. Uwe has been with the Leibniz-Institut für Polymerforschung Dresden since April 2003, currently serving as Projektleiter for the Exist Forschungstransfer Team ResCure and as Group Leader in Matrix Engineering. From January 2006 to September 2021, Uwe was Geschäftsführer at ZetaSCIENCE GmbH, specializing in instrumentation, consulting, and analytical services for material interface characterization, as well as cell instructive biohybrid hydrogels. Uwe's earlier experience includes a role as a Facilities Engineer at AMD and a practical training position at Sasol. Uwe's academic background includes a Dr. Ing. in chemical engineering and material science from Technische Universität Dresden and a Dipl. Ing. (FH) in chemical engineering from Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft.
