Abha Valavalkar

Abha Valavalkar is a knowledgeable researcher currently serving as a Doctoral Researcher at the Leibniz Institute of Photonic Technology since February 2022, following a role as a Graduate Research Associate. Previous experience includes a Masters Thesis position at the same institute, focusing on time resolved spectroscopy for in cellulo studies of fluorescent probes, as well as research internships at Leibniz-Forschungsinstitut für Molekulare Pharmakologie and the University of Zurich, where work involved biorthogonal labeling and synthesizing phthalocyanines, respectively. Abha's academic background includes a Master's degree in Chemistry of Materials from Friedrich Schiller University Jena and a Bachelor's degree in Dyestuff Technology from the Institute of Chemical Technology. Abha has also contributed to educational endeavors as a Science Educator for senior secondary students and has experience in business development and quality control.
