Leibniz Institute of Photonic Technology
Dirk Boonzajer Flaes is a postdoctoral researcher at the Leibniz Institute of Photonic Technology since September 2018, focusing on nonlinear ptychography, various modeling methods, and device development in collaboration with commercial partners. Previous experience includes postdoctoral research on imaging through multi-mode optical fibers and coherent wavefront shaping, as well as a PhD at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where work involved imaging through multimode fibers and lensfree microscopy. Dirk also completed an internship at Laserlab VU, focusing on coherent control in a two-photon transition in Rubidium, and served as a teaching assistant at the Anton Pannekoek Observatory. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Advanced Matter and Energy Physics and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Amsterdam, alongside a Gymnasium diploma from Cartesius Lyceum.
