Sylvia Schmitt

Sylvia Schmitt is an experienced professional in the fields of image processing and software development, currently serving as an Image Processing Engineer and Software Developer at Leica Camera AG since August 2014. With a focus on Computer Vision, Sylvia has contributed to production line test equipment and was a team member in the Innovation Lab specializing in Machine and Deep Learning from 2018 to 2019. Prior experience includes roles as a Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin in the Laboratory for Audiovisual Media Technology at TH Köln and as a lecturer in the Bachelor's program for Media and Phototechnology. Sylvia also held software development positions at several companies including FJA Feilmeier & Junker GmbH and Ventech GmbH, beginning their professional journey after obtaining a Master of Engineering in Media and Imaging Technology and a Diplom-Ingenieur in Photoingenieurwesen und Medientechnik from Cologne University of Applied Sciences.
