LEICHT is one of the top 10 companies of the German kitchen industry. The company has a workforce of 620 employees in its main sites of Waldstetten and Kirchheim and posted sales of 148 million euros as well as a record overall growth of almost 9% in 2018. LEICHT has developed from a Swabian manufacturer of quality goods into a brand coveted all over the world. The kitchen manufacturer has been able to considerably extend its position both in domestic and international business. The company founded as a carpenter‘s workshop in 1928 by the brothers Alois and Josef Leicht is now leaving its mark on the modern kitchen architecture of the twenty-first century. This increasingly consolidates the position of the architectural brand LEICHT as market leader in the premium segment with, currently, an impressive share of more than 27% (in the price segment over 20,000 euros according to a survey by GfK). A milestone in the company‘s history was the opening of the LEICHT | WELT in October 2014, a kitchen exhibition area covering 1,500 square metres with show kitchen and seminar rooms. To continue to be able to fulfil all orders and ensure long-term growth, a decision was made to build a new, state-of-the-art assembly plant. Construction started on the 80,000 m² site in the Gügling industrial park in Schwäbisch Gmünd on 17 September 2018. Production is scheduled to begin in September 2020.
