Michel Abdel Malek

Michel Abdel Malek is the founder of Delphyr, engaged in developing advanced clinical large language models through generative AI since January 2023. As a PhD candidate at Leiden University Medical Center since October 2018, Michel is investigating the applications of generative artificial intelligence in anesthesia and machine learning's role in pharmacokinetic and dynamic modeling. Michel has also served as a member of the innovation subcommittee focusing on data for the Nederlandse Vereniging voor Anesthesiologie since September 2022, alongside previous roles as an Anesthesiology Resident and a Physician in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Pulmonology. Prior experience includes an intensive care physician role at Flevoziekenhuis, a medical coordinator position with Stichting Bootvluchteling, and research on induced pluripotent stem cells at The University of Tokyo. Michel holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Amsterdam, earned between 2004 and 2014.
