Alfred Verboom

CRO at Leiden University

Alfred Verboom has over 30 years of work experience, starting in 1988 at Leiden University as a laboratory assistant in the biology department. alfred worked there for 21 years, initially full-time and later part-time. In 1993, they also joined LVC as a VJ, where they developed into an all-round video/light jockey for dance nights and events over a period of 12 years. In 1996, Alfred became the Webmaster at IMP/IBL Leiden University until 2009. alfred then moved on to work as an ICT-ondersteuner at Leiden University LIC from 2009 to 2010. From 2010 to 2014, they worked as an HD/FO employee, followed by a role as a Desktop Support Specialist at Leiden University. Currently, they hold the position of CRO at Leiden University since 2014.

Alfred Verboom attended the Koninklijke Academie voor Beeldende Kunsten Den Haag from 2000 to 2003, where they studied photography. Prior to that, they completed a degree in Analytisch Chemisch from the Laboratoriumschool "Rijnland" from 1984 to 1988. Alongside their education, Alfred Verboom obtained several certifications, including MD-100 Windows 10 Exam from Microsoft in 2020, ITIL Foundation Level from ITIL Certified in 2012, PRINCE2® Foundation Certification Training from PRINCE2.com in 2012, and Windows 7, Enterprise Desktop Administrator (MCITP) from Microsoft in 2012.
