Karin van Den Elzen

Karin van den Elzen is an experienced financial professional currently serving as Directeur Financiën at Leiden University since September 2019, where also holds the position of Hoofd Financiën en Projecten in the Faculty of Science. Prior to this role, Karin worked at RDW from December 2012 to August 2019 as Manager Planning & Control for an organization with significant annual revenue. Karin's experience also includes serving as Directeur Financiën, Planning & Control at ROC Leiden from March 2002 to November 2012, as well as roles at Sogeti and Ernst & Young, where Karin gained foundational expertise in financial management and accounting. Karin holds both a doctoraal and post doctoraal degree in accountancy from Tilburg University, completed in 1996.
