Deborah Purchase Nelson

Deborah Purchase Nelson is an experienced human resources leader, currently serving as Vice President of HR for Health Solutions and Vice President of Talent Development and Inclusion at Leidos since August 2016. In these roles, Deborah leads strategies for talent management, leadership development, and inclusion initiatives. Prior to Leidos, Deborah held senior management positions at Lockheed Martin from May 1995 to August 2016, where responsibilities included overseeing human capital strategies for a $675M business and leading organization development for a larger, 12,500-employee business area. Earlier in the career, Deborah worked at the National Science Foundation as an Employee Relations Specialist and held various HR positions. Deborah possesses a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources and a Bachelor of Science in Personnel and Labor Relations, both from the University of Maryland.
