Shehan Perera

Shehan Perera is a dedicated AI/ML Research Engineer with over 6 years of research experience and 6 years of combined work experience developing scalable deep learning solutions. Currently serving as a Senior AI/ML Engineer at Leidos, Shehan has previously held positions at the National Institutes of Health and Sandia National Laboratories, focusing on computer vision, generative models, and multimodal AI. Shehan actively pursues a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering at The Ohio State University, where they also obtained several master's degrees. Their collaborative work spans academia, industry, and government R&D, with a strong focus on impactful innovations in medical imaging and scientific machine learning.
