Tom Benson Pe, Ge

Tom Benson, PE, GE, currently serves as Senior Principal Geotechnical Engineer at Verdantas since June 2024, having held the same title at Leighton Group since March 2023 following the acquisition of Leighton Consulting, Inc., where Tom Benson was President and CEO from March 2004 to March 2023. Prior experience includes serving as Vice President at TRC Companies, Inc. from 1998 to 2004 and as Senior Vice President at Converse Consultants West from November 1988 to November 1997, where management during and after the Northridge Earthquake was part of the responsibilities. Tom Benson holds an MS in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University.
