Ricard Tomas

Ricard Tomas has extensive experience in various roles within the industrial operations and project management field. Ricard has worked as a Director of Industrial Operations at Leitat, where they managed multidisciplinary teams and oversaw the transition from research to product development and market readiness. Ricard also led the operations and production of ventilators during the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to this, Ricard worked as a freelance consultant at RTomas Consulting, implementing project management and Lean Manufacturing methodologies for a chemical and pharmaceutical industry project. Ricard has also held positions at Coty, Zobele Group, Leopold Kostal GmbH & Co. KG, IMAT S.L., CIRSA, Mier Comunicaciones, and Arbucias Industrial S.A., where they gained experience in areas such as new product development, supply chain management, project management, and design engineering. Throughout their career, Ricard has demonstrated leadership and expertise in driving innovation, efficiency, and successful project delivery.

Ricard Tomas earned their Engineer's degree in Industrial & Product Design from the University School of Design and Engineering of Barcelona from 1986 to 1990. Ricard then pursued a Master's degree in Industrial Design & Product Development from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya from 1992 to 1994.
